The falling of a cab in the Samimale area of Maskeliya has left at least 15 individuals injured. According to police, the driver had lost control of the cab and veered off the road. This led to the vehicle falling down a 30-foot precipice in the 3rd-mile post area in Samimale.
The cab driver, 12 women and two males were injured, and have been admitted to the Dikoya Hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident, a road incident involving a lorry and a motorcycle in Pudukulam on the Ichchankulama-Vavuniya road had killed a nine-year-old child.
