The post mortem of the two municipal council workers who fell ill and later died while receiving treatment in the hospital yesterday (27) is yet to be conducted, says Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa.
He confirmed this while speaking to The Daily Morning today, when questioned whether the workers had been exposed to harmful chemicals while at work.
The two workers had fallen ill while repairing a drainage system in Kotahena and were hospitalized immediately, but had died thereafter.
Mr. Thalduwa revealed the postmortem on the bodies is still ongoing.
