Supporters who turned up at the Fort Magistrate’s Court today in solidarity with arrested Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, have begun a protest outside the court premises.
The STF and Army have been called in to control the tense situation that has erupted.
Wickremesinghe was remded until the 26th if August on allegations of misappropriation of state funds during his tenure.
