A live grenade has been recovered from the home of the suspect in connection to the sexual assault of the lady doctor at the Anuradhapura hospital recently.
The suspect, a 36 year old former Army deserter, was found 48 hours after the alleged rape of a female doctor based at the Anuradhapura base hospital, in the Galnewa area.
The residence of the suspect was searched this morning and the live grenade was found. The knife that was used to threaten the female doctor was found on the suspect when he was arrested.
