Luigi Mangione, 26, has entered a not guilty plea to charges of murder and terrorism in New York state related to the killing of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson. He was arraigned in court on Monday, facing 11 state criminal counts, including murder as an act of terrorism. In addition to these state charges, Mangione is also facing federal stalking and murder charges that could result in the death penalty. Prosecutors claim that he shot Thompson in central Manhattan before fleeing, and he was later apprehended at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania.
