Alternative Arrangements for GCE A-Level Students Affected by Weather

In light of adverse weather conditions, the Department of Examinations has implemented alternative measures for students sitting the 2024 GCE Advanced Level Examination who cannot reach their designated examination centres. Students facing transportation challenges due to severe weather can now take their exams at the nearest available centre.

The Department has encouraged those impacted by the weather to reach out for assistance through the Disaster Management Centre’s hotline at 117. This proactive step aims to ensure that all candidates have the opportunity to participate in their examinations without undue stress or interruption.

The 2024 GCE Advanced Level Examination began yesterday, with a total of 333,185 candidates registered to take part this year. The examinations are scheduled to continue over a period of 22 days, concluding on December 20, 2024. This initiative by the Department of Examinations reflects a commitment to supporting students in navigating unforeseen circumstances while maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
