New Cabinet Ministers sworn in

Ananda Wijepala, National Organizer of the NPP’s National Intellectual Organization and private secretary to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has been appointed Cabinet Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.

A long-time aide to the JVP leader, Wijepala also served as secretary for the Anti-Corruption Secretariat during the 2015 Yahapalanaya Government.

Upali Pannilage was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment.

Sunil Hadunnetti was sworn in as the Cabinet of Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development.

Ramalingam Chandrasekaran was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
Anura Karunathilake was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing.

K.D. Lal Kantha was sworn in as the Cabinet of Minister Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation.

Saroja Savithri Paulraj was sworn in as the Minister of Child and Women’s Affairs. She is a Sri Lankan politician and a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka from the Matara Electoral District since 2024, representing the National People’s Power (NPP). She was also a member of the National Executive Committee of the NPP.


Harshana Nanayakkara was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Justice and National Integration.
Prof. Chandana Abeyrathna was sworn in as the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.


Vijitha Herath was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Foreign Employment.
Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. She also took oath as the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education.


Prof. Hiniduma Sunil Senavi was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Buddhist Affairs, Religious and Cultural Affairs.


Bimal Rathnayake was sworn in as the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation.
Kalutara District NPP MP Nalinda Jayathissa was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister of Health and Media.
Sunil Kumara Gamage was sworn in as the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.


Wasantha Samarasinghe was sworn in as the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-Oerative Development.


Samantha Vidyaratne was sworn in as the Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure.
Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena was sworn in as the Minister of Science and Technology.


Kumara Jayakody was sworn in as the Minister of Energy.


Dr. Dhammika Patabedi was sworn in as the Minister of Environment.
