How to Vote in the 2024 General Election

As the 2024 General Elections draw near, the Election Commission has released guidelines on the voting process and how to select candidates.

The Commission emphasises that each voter is entitled to one vote, which can be cast for either a political party or an independent group.

To cast your vote, simply mark an ‘x’ next to the symbol of the party you support or beside the number and symbol of the independent group,” the Commission advised.

Additionally, voters have the option to select up to three candidates from their chosen party or group. Voters can indicate their choices by placing an ‘x’ next to the number of each candidate listed at the bottom of the ballot paper.

The Election Commission also cautioned that ballots will be rejected if voters select more than one party or group or use any mark other than an ‘x.’

In related news, postal voting for the 2024 General Elections, which began on October 30, is currently in its third day.
