Pope Francis has called for a humanitarian aid pathway for supplies to be delivered into the Gaza strip.
He further appealed to the troops to release all hostages who are being held captive.
“Let the arms cease. Stop, brothers and sisters: War is always a defeat — always, always!” the Pope messaged on Sunday night on the social media platform X (Twitter).
“Let us continue to pray for Ukraine, as well as for the serious situation in Palestine and Israel, and for other regions at war. Particularly, in Gaza, may space be opened to guarantee humanitarian aid, and may the hostages be released right away,” the Pope mentioned in his post.
