A school-bus driver was arrested in Kurunegala on yesterday (14), over allegations of sexually abusing a minor.
Accordingly, the suspect was arrested by the Women and Children’s division of the Kurunegala Police this afternoon for for alleged repeated sexual abuse of a 11-year-old boy after having given him drug-laced sweets.
The suspect later plead guilty before the court , and was ordered to pay two personal bails of Rs. 100,000 each.
He was not, however, released and remains in remand custody after he failed to post bail.
