The Grade 05 Scholarship Examination commenced at 9.30 a.m. today (15) at exam centers across the island.The Department of Examination stated that a total of 337,956 candidates are expected to sit for the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam this year.
The Commissioner General of Examinations, Amit Jayasundara, said that the examination is to be held at 2,888 centres, and that all necessary arrangements have been made for this.
The Commissioner General of Examinations also emphasized that all the candidates participating in the Grade 05 scholarship examination should arrive at their respective examination halls by 9.00 a.m.
Meanwhile, the Southern Provincial Education Secretary Mr. Ranjith Yapa stated that arrangements have been made for the examination candidates in Matara, Akuressa and Mulatiyana education zones, which are affected by the floods, to face the examination through the Divisional Secretariats
