A man travelling in Ahungalla in a three-wheeler has sustained injuries this morning (11) after being shot at.
Police reported that a group of individuals had opened fire at the victim who was near a tourist hotel.
The victim needed immediate medical attention and was rushed to the Balapitiya Base Hospital. The 38-year-old was later moved to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
The victim is reportedly a resident of Kosgoda’s Nape area.
Ahungalla Police have initiated investigations to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
