Former cricketer Sachitra Senanayake has surrendered before the Sports investigation corruption Unit and has been arrested over allegations of match fixing.
Senanayake is accused of trying to fix matches during the Lanka Premier League (LPL) in 2020.
It is alleged that Senanayake had approached two cricketers in the first edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) in 2020 via telephone calls from Dubai to fix matches.
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court issued a travel ban on Senanayake after an inquiry was initiated against the former sportsman.
