An apology has been issued by SriLankan Airlines regarding their extensive cancellation of flights recently. The matter has been a result of technical faults.
Within the statement, the airline claimed that various technical faults have lead to the temporary grounding of several aircrafts. Such faults have been identified through routine procedures followed during aircraft maintenance.
The statement read, “Aircraft maintenance follows very strict procedures which necessitate repairs or replacement parts before the aircraft are cleared to fly”.
However, the airline promised that efforts are underway to provide alternative transportation for passengers, with some also being accommodated in hotels where necessary.
