The Sri Lanka Army has been summoned to provide security to railway stations and passengers, the Sri Lanka Railway authority has announced today (13).
Despite the ongoing railways strike, 35 trains will be in operation today.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe issued a gazette notification yesterday declaring railways services as an essential service under the Essential Public Service Act.
