Dora, a lioness at Ruhunu Ridhiagama Safari Park, recently became a mother to three adorable cubs, adding to the bustling wildlife family within the park. Dora, who was once rejected by her birth mother and lovingly nurtured with milk by the park staff, has now transitioned into a caring and attentive mother herself. Her first litter of cubs is receiving round-the-clock care and affection from Dora, who dutifully tends to their needs, ensuring they are well-fed and groomed.
The arrival of Dora’s cubs coincided with another Lioness Lara also gave birth to three cubs just four days after Dora, resulting in a total of six playful lion cubs now roaming the park grounds. The sight of these young cubs has undoubtedly captivated the attention of visitors, offering a glimpse into the wonders of nature and the circle of life.
When asked about plans to introduce the cubs to the general public, a park representative mentioned that after a month or two, the adorable cubs may be ready for public viewing, allowing visitors to witness the charm and innocence of these young animals up close.
Regarding the well-being of the cubs, the park ensures that their health is closely monitored by dedicated veterinarians and staff members who keep a vigilant eye on any developments or changes in their condition.
