It is sheer luck that Gotabaya Rajapaksa managed to leave the country (Sri Lanka) with his clothes on, if it happened in another country, he would be chased away in a different way, says Samagi Vanitha Balawegaya (SVB) national organiser and former MP Hirunika Premachandra.
She mentioned this while speaking to the media today (15) in response to a question posed at her on her thoughts on former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa entering politics again.
“If he has some sort of shame, he will not do it. Last time, he managed to save his life and the last bit of clothes he had on. Next time, he won’t even have his set of teeth. He must be thinking that people are mad to forget everything he has done to ruin the country within 2 weeks,” said Premachandra.
She further noted that no one in their right sense would vote for a President who ran the country into a state of ‘starvation’.
“Which person in their right sense of mind would vote for a man who ran the country to a point of starvation by importing sewwge waste in the guise of organic fertilizer. People ate three meals in the past, today that is not possible. Only a buffalo can do such a thing to a country,” she accused.
