Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was arrested by the CID a short while ago today (22).
Wickremesinghe was arrested over misusing state funds for a personal visit to London when he was President.
An arrest as such marks history in Sri Lanka as never has a president or former president of Sri Lanka been been arrested.
