President Anura Kumara Dissanayake returned to the island yesterday (17) after a fruitful three-day official visit to India, as reported by the President’s Media Division (PMD). This visit was made at the invitation of Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
Throughout the trip, President Dissanayake held several bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various Indian government ministers, and prominent Indian business leaders. He was accompanied by a delegation that included Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath, along with Labour Minister and Economic Development Deputy Minister Prof. Anil Jayantha Fernando.
