President Ranil Wickremesinghe is currently addressing the Parliament of Sri Lanka.
The President’s speech commenced just as proceedings began and he is updating the Parliament on the economic situation in the country.
During his speech, President Wickremesinghe noted that he assumed office as the President of Sri Lanka with no conditions, despite being a sole member of Parliament from his party.
He further noted that his vast experience in politics, well thought of planning, and international relationship with other countries gave him the confidence that he was able to bring the country out of the situation it is in.
