President Ranil Wickremesinghe has released a Thai Pongal wish for citizens of Sri Lanka today (15).
“Thai Pongal heralds a fresh start, a time to welcome new opportunities with unwavering optimism. It also emphasis the significance of agriculture in Sri Lanka’s economic rejuvenation,” the message reads.
He further urged everyone to come together with determination to realise the country’s new hopes for future, as the auspicious festival of Thai Pongal is celebrated.
