The Police have urged the public to remain peaceful during the post-election period. Deputy Inspector General of Police Attorney Nihal Thalduwa announced that a special security program is still active in designated police jurisdictions.
In recent days, law enforcement has arrested 581 suspects for violating election laws, including 18 candidates. Furthermore, authorities have impounded 147 vehicles as part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance and maintain order during this sensitive time.
