Today Sri Lanka mourns the loss of the esteemed singer and lyricist Senaka Batagoda, who passed away at the age of 66 while undergoing treatment at Ragama Hospital (11th September).
Batagoda, known for his exceptional talents as both a vocalist and guitarist, rose to fame in 1994 and captured the hearts of many with his unforgettable hits.
His repertoire included well-loved songs such as “Api Kavuruda,” “Api Senasille,” “Alu Yata Gini,” “Rastha,” “Heena Walata Panak Thiyenawa,” “Senasuma,” and “Hodama de.”
