Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harsha De Silva has raised concerns over the 2024 budget, which is currently being read in Parliament by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, alleging that it had been leaked prior to it being presented.
He alerted this via a twitter post a short while ago today (13).
“Who leaked the Sri Lanka budget 2024 before it being read in Parliament and distributed it to MPs. I just got this as an alert but sitting here in the chamber, I have not seen this. Upon inquiry from the Secretary General I was told the document is on the way from the printers?! What?”, De Silva’s post read.
In his tweet, MP De Silva has attached a screenshot of the budget 2024 updates, prior to it being read in the chamber.
