The Supreme Court ruled that former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and others had violated fundamental rights by purchasing medical supplies under the 2022 Indian credit line from an unregistered company, breaching procurement procedures.
Further, The Supreme Court has ordered Keheliya Rambukwella to pay Rs. 75 million, former Health Ministry Secretary Janaka Chandragupta Rs. 50 million, and former NMRA Chairman Prof. S. D. Jayaratne Rs. 50 million from their personal funds.
