Pastor Jerome Fernando encountered a tensed situation in Nawalapitiya when local villagers wrecked havoc as Fernando arrived to a bare land to inaugurate a “prayer mountain” today (05).
It was reported that Fernando arrived early in the morning to begin the formalities for the building of a “prayer mountain”, when local villagers confronted Fernando and insisted that he left immediately.
The police were called to control the chaos and Fernando then fled the scene.
According to Fernando’s social media handle, the villagers had slung mud at him.
