A 30-year-old woman was brutally murdered in the Netolpitiya,Tangalle area with a sharp weapon today (27).
She had been working as an Agrarian service officer in the Govi Jana Seva centre in Netolpitiya.
It is said that the reason for the murder, was an argument about fertilizer that took place in the Govi Jana Seva centre.
The police have arrested a person who was a candidate for the Tangalle regional council from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya as the suspect for murder.
