The government will investigate all past crimes and take legal action against those responsible, while expediting seven high-profile cases, according to Cabinet Spokesman Vijitha Herath. These cases include the Central Bank Bond scam and the Easter Sunday attacks, selected for their near-completion status.
Herath confirmed that investigations will also continue into the deaths of Wasim Thajudeen, Lasantha Wickrematunge, and Pradeep Ekneligoda, with the latter already in court.
He assured that systematic investigations into the Easter attacks are ongoing and that a full report on findings and actions will be released to the public once completed.
