The 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations, which were temporarily halted due to severe weather conditions, are set to resume tomorrow, December 4th. The exams began on November 25 but faced interruptions starting November 27 as extreme weather impacted various communities across the island.
The Department of Examinations has confirmed that the examinations will proceed according to the previously established timetable. Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, reassured students that subjects originally scheduled for the suspended dates will be conducted in the coming days.
To assist students, a revised timetable reflecting the new dates for these subjects will be distributed at examination centers shortly. This plan aims to ensure that all students are adequately informed and prepared for the resumption of their examinations. The Department is committed to maintaining the integrity and continuity of the examination process, allowing students to complete their assessments without further disruption.
