Famous Sri Lankan Tusker dies due to electrocution.

Renowned Sri Lankan Tusker ‘Deegadanthu 1’ is reported to have died due to electrocution. It is reported that the tusker had been electrocuted after coming into contact with an illegal electric fence.

The tusker, aged between 40 and 50 years, is known to frequent the Kala Wewa and the Kahalla-Pallakelle reserves.
