Action is to be taken against the person who had raised concerns at the Bandaranaike international Airport (BIA) last week, said Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles.
He said this during a special media conference today (06).
The passenger, who is a Sri Lankan national and married to a foreigner, had raised concerns at the airport due to the visa issuance process which was being done by Indian personnel.
Whereas, The private company, VFS Global, was reportedly not Gazetted to be operational at the BIA.
When The Newsdesk SL contacted Minister Alles for a statement, Minister Alles refused to speak further, noting that whatever he wanted to say was said already.
“If you say that the individual raised concerns and if you say he has raised a valid question, there is no point talking to me. Clearly you have come to a conclusion,” he told The Newsdesk SL.
