The Election Commission has declared its readiness to organise the Local Government Elections shortly after the upcoming General Elections.
In a formal announcement, the Commission stated that the schedule for the Local Government elections will be disclosed promptly following the conclusion of the General elections.
This pronouncement by the Commission comes after a series of legal proceedings and financial deliberations concerning the allotment of funds essential for conducting the elections.
Moreover, the Commission affirmed that preliminary talks have been held with key stakeholders to ensure a seamless execution of the Local Government Elections.
“We have completed the necessary groundwork and will proceed with the Local Government Elections immediately after the General Elections,” the Commission reiterated.
