Former Police IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon has been further remanded until the 3rd of April 2025.
Deshabandu was presented before the Matara Magistrate’s court today (20) after spending the last 24 hours in prison after surrendering himself yesterday.
Earlier last week, Deshabandu had filed a writ petition seeking the court to nullify his arrest, but the court had dismissed the petition with costs, and informed the CID to execute the arrest.
