According to Director General Athula Karunanayake of the Meteorology Department, the deep depression in the south-west Bay of Bengal is forecasted to develop into a cyclonic storm by 6 PM today. This weather system is likely to bring thundershowers to the Northern, North-Central, Central, Western, and North-Western Provinces, along with the Trincomalee and Kegalle districts.
