A stock of Kush cannabis has been impounded by Sri Lanka Customs officers after an attempt to smuggle it into the country.
According to Customs Director, Seevali Arukgoda, the parcel had arrived from Belgium via a container and was addressed to a location in Vennappuwa. The parcel contained 1.98kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of Rs. 16.47 million.
The contraband will undergo further investigations once it has been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB).
