A pair of conjoined twins have been born at the Castle Street hospital in Sri Lanka to a 29 year old mother from Pannala.
The twin girls were born sharing a body from the abdomen downwards, but are currently in good health
A separation surgery has been scheduled for the infants when they turn 3 months of age, and will be conducted at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children.
