In a recent ruling, the District Court of Colombo has issued a restraining order against the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), prohibiting the submission of its National List nominations to the Election Commission. The court mandated that the nominations must include the name of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Secretary Nizam Kariapper, following a complaint lodged by SLMC Leader Rauff Hakeem.
