Two buses reportedly collided this morning (11) on the Colombo–Kandy main road, injuring at least 18 passengers.
The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. in the Walakadayawa area of Uthuwankanda along the Colombo–Kandy route.
Both buses involved belong to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).
According to Kegalle Police, approximately 18 individuals were admitted to Kegalle and Mawanella hospitals due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The incident happened when a bus traveling from Panadura to Kandy rear-ended another bus heading from Kegalle to Mawanella.
