The Channel 4 documentary is merely false and baseless, and they shouldn’t be categorised as a media institution, but instead as a video production channel, says Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP and son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Namal Rajapaksa.
Speaking in Parliament today (06), Rajapaksa stated that foreign media Channel 4 has held a long standing rivalry with the Rajapaksa family since the end of the civil war in Sri Lanka in 2009, and has always attempted to sling mud at the Rajapaksa family through their bias news.
He further noted that the tragic Easter Sunday attacks should not be used for political agendas and personal gain.
