President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has signed the Extraordinary Gazette notification papers dissolving the Parliament of Sri Lanka effective tonight (24).
The relevant Gazette notification has been sent to the Government Printer to be published, according to the President’s Media Division.
The President earlier announced that the General Election will be held in December and Parliament sittings will commence in January.
