A fire has been reported at the Monarch Imperial hotel in Kotte a short while ago.
The NewsdeskSL contacted Police Spokesman ASP Wootler who confirmed that the fire is currently being doused by the Colombo Fire department and no casualties have been reported, although there is damage to the property.
The NewsdeskSL reporter on site has confirmed that all persons within the hotel have been safety evacuated from the premises.
