An Air India flight carrying 242 passengers has crashed near the Ahmedabad airport a short while ago.
The incident is believed to have occurred when the flight was taking off for London.
Currently, Heavy smoke is visible from Dharpur near the Meghaninagar area.
The fire department is handling the flames at the crash site and emergency response teams are being mobilised.
Authorities are yet to confirm the cause of the crash.
