Two suspects related to the murder case of a woman who was recently decapitated and dismembered, and was discovered on the banks of the Kelani river, have surrendered to the Sapugaskanda police yesterday (02).
The 51-year-old victim named T.G Pradeepa had been reported missing since September 27th.
The primary suspect was identified as a 53-year-old businessman, while the other suspect known as “Kapuwa” was identified as a 48-year-old individual.
CCTV footage revealed that the victim had met the main suspect outside a restaurant in Kaduwela and were seen leaving together in a car.
It has been further revealed that the murder was committed due to a financial dispute between the victim and the main suspect.
The suspects are currently being questioned by the police.
