The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) never attempted to mislead citizens of the country, says Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa upon returning to the island from the United States this morning (05).
He said this while speaking to the media upon arrival.
A group of members of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) including Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam, MP Sarath Weerasekara, were at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake to welcome to the party’s founder.
He further noted that he has no plans to return to the parliament, adding that he would continue to guide the SLPP with the election preparations.
“Changes need to be made where it is needed”, Basil Rajapaksa said in response to a question by a media personal.
